Heather Benedict is a financial education expert with a history of working to improve her community. Most recently, she managed Wells Fargo’s multi-generational, bilingual personal finance and entrepreneurial education website. This award-winning online and school-based program received over 1 million visitors per year, serving people from over 200 countries. She also developed focused curriculum to benefit military service members, veterans and their families, and to combat the increasing problem of elder financial abuse.
Previously, Ms. Benedict has worked as a counselor for pregnant and parenting teens in LA County, and as a group counselor for at-risk youth. Past Board experience includes National Association of Women Business Owners, the Jump$tart Coalition for Financial Literacy, and the Experian Consumer Council. She has volunteered with the Young Women Leaders Committee in the past, and will serve as Co-chair this year.
A 13-year Palm Springs resident, Heather enjoys reading, hiking and travel. She earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Southern California, and is an enthusiastic Trojan football fan.
