Sarai Diaz graduated from La Quinta High School (LQHS) in 2014. After graduating from LQHS, Sarai attended California State University San Bernardino, Palm Desert Campus (CSUSB PDC) with a scholarship from the The Desert Community Foundation. During her time at CSUSB PDC, she joined the Communications Club and Student Health Club. During her senior year, she interned at OneFuture Coachella Valley (OFCV) for two quarters where she got to help organize The Future is Ours Celebration and the 2018 Student Leadership Conference.
Sarai will be receiving her degree in Communications, with an emphasis in Public Relations, from CSUSB PDC in June 2018. Her plan is to explore Public Relations opportunities within the hotel or healthcare industry. Sarai is helpful to all and extremely energetic, and she believes that going into either of these two fields will allow her to make a positive impact.
Sarai’s parents are extremely proud that she will be the first in her immediate family to obtain a four-year college education in exactly four years. She plans to expand her knowledge and move to a different city in Southern California to learn more about other cultures and become more familiar with the world. Her dream is to travel to places that she has been inspired by and Germany is the first on her list. She plans to explore post-graduate school that is focused in healthcare in the future.
